A guttural scoff leaves his mouth in disbelief—mostly due to the fact that such modesty only continued to amaze him more than she already had beforehand. His head shakes unconsciously before he lifts his hands, waving them dismissively in her direction. There was no possible way Himchan was going to let her off disregarding her own talent, even if it was to seem polite first and foremost. “So you can’t do your best and be exceptional too? Trust me, I wish I could be as talented as you are! And believe me, I know a lot of other people feel the same way too. I’m not going to judge if you accept that, y’know. This is between you and I. Just admit that you’re near perfection!”
“I don’t know…” It’s not a secret that accepting compliments is a skill she has yet to master. Hell, she is barely able to look straight into someone’s eyes once they compliemtn her – always timid, humble. And as expected of her, she only bows her head, a soft smile dancing across her lips – a smile of humility and meekness, voice indulgent. “I am not. I mean– thank you for saying all of these… but I’m not.”
